Our River Journey

At New Park Primary Academy, our classes are named after rivers that take children on a journey from local to global. Children begin with Yorkshire rivers close to home before exploring rivers from across England, Europe, Africa and South America. This progression helps children develop a strong sense of belonging to their local community while expanding their understanding of the wider world. Like a river's journey from source to sea, every child's journey through New Park is one of growth, discovery and endless possibility.
