Swale Class- Reception & Year 1

Welcome to Swale Class!

Named after the River Swale, one of Yorkshire's fastest-flowing rivers, Swale Class is full of energy, excitement and adventure. Just as the river travels swiftly through the Yorkshire countryside, our children make remarkable progress as they develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

We are extremely proud of our Reception and Year 1 class at New Park Primary Academy. We create a happy, caring and stimulating environment where all children feel valued, safe and supported. Through positive relationships with adults and their peers, children are encouraged to be curious, resilient and creative as they embark on their own journey of discovery.

Our Reception and Year 1 curriculum provides a unique blend of child-initiated learning through play alongside carefully planned opportunities and Project Based Learning. Children build strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics while exploring the world around them through engaging, hands-on experiences that inspire a lifelong love of learning.
